Leaf and origin
Tea: Product of Sri Lanka. Blended and packed in the USA.
Ingredients
Black tea, natural flavor, bergamot oil.
How to brew
- Rinse the leaf. A quick splash of hot water over the leaves, swirled and poured off. It wakes the leaf and washes away any dust.
- Measure. One heaping teaspoon of whole leaf per cup, plus one for the pot.
- Water just off the boil. Bring fresh water to a boil, then let it settle for thirty seconds, about 200°F (95°C), so it never scalds the leaf.
- Steep, unhurried. Four to five minutes: the Persian dam, until the brew runs coppery-red and aromatic.
- Serve. Pour it clear, Persian style, with a sugar cube on the tongue, or add just a splash of milk. Dates or a wedge of citrus alongside.

How to brew
